Greg Koch, CEO and Co-Founder Stone Brewing Co., launched the brewery in 1996 with Steve Wagner, President and Co-Founder, in San Marcos, California.
Greg is a figure who’s recognized by many craft beer fans as he is often seen and heard as the “face” and “voice” of Stone Brewing. Indeed, Greg acts out his passion for Stone Brewing — and for great beer in general — in the form of musings, declarations, raves, rants, propositions, actions and myriad contributions to the community at large through multiple media including books, blogs, videos, social media, public appearances and more.
When you’re a co-founder of what has been one of the fastest growing craft breweries in America for the last fifteen years, averaging 43% year-to-year growth, named to the INC 500 list two years in a row (’02 – ’03), listed as one of San Diego Business Journal‘s “Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies” seven years in a row (’02 –’10), and named “All-time Top Brewery on Planet Earth” in ’08…and in ‘09 “The most popular and highest rated brewery – ever!” by BeerAdvocate magazine, you’ve probably got something to say and some ground (or at least kegs) to stand on when saying it.
Thus, we’ve invited Greg to be our first brewery guest to answer some questions posed to him not only by us, but also by YOU.
[Update]
Greg Koch has responded! For Greg’s complete, unfettered answers (OK, a little fettering at the end), check out the video.
